It's been a long time......

Wow, I didn't realize that I have not blogged in such a long time.  I have been quite busy going to a lot of different places with my girl. By the time I get home I just want to eat, play a little with my big brother then sleep the night away.

I had a little reunion with one of my litter mates. It was so exciting to see her. We played, and played and played. I am the one on the right. My sisters name is Anza and she is cute as a button. I am excited to be able to see her again in Apr.

I also went to this really neat place with my girl called The Lazy Dog. Can you believe it? They named a restaurant Lazy Dog. I don't think we are that lazy.  If I had my way we would play all day and night. Well maybe not all night - got to get my beauty sleep. I met this good looking dog there but he didn't say much. I posed with him anyways

Lastly I wanted to tell you that I am so happy that Girl Scout cookie sales are coming to a close. If I have to pose one more time at a booth sale I might just have to BARF!!!!! All those cookies and I can't even have one. How fair is that???

Til next time - Happy trails and keep your tails wagging :)

So we went to an event at a museum today. It was ok. A lot of craft projects were going on. Also there were a lot of Girl Scouts running around. I got a lot of  "oh, how cute" but I didn't get a whole lot of hugs and petting. I was on my best behavior hoping I could get a little one on one interaction. I did get a little nap time when my girl and her mom sang camp songs. People couldn't believe that I could sleep thru all that racket. Since no one paid any attention to me I thought I would catch up an my beauty sleep.

Our first trip to the Happiest Place on Earth

I am not sure why they call it the Happiest Place on Earth.  All I know was there were a lot of feet and a whole lot of smells.  Did you know they have fenced off private potty areas? They are AWESOME! They were every where. Oh, except for the area around the Haunted Mansion. Just and FYI, you are not allowed to get busy on the grass in front of that scary looking mansion. They have their own private place over by the Hearst wagon.

Since we went last night my girl did not get a whole lot of pictures of me at the park. I must say it was quite crowded. We were only able to snap a picture with the Jungle Cruise Captain.  Every one on the boat was laughing at his jokes. I thought he was just very talkative.

What flavor do you like?

ok, so my girls mommy is the cookie cupboard manager for the Girl Scouts. So where do you think I have been spending my spare time? Yep, You got it...at the Cookie Cupboard. This is not your normal cupboard. It is not in our garage. This cupboard is in the back of a Dance studio. I am getting to meet all kinds of dancing girls and I get to sniff all the yummy cookies. I am also practicing hard at learning all of my obedience commands. I almost have "sit" on command. Oh, and I am letting my family sleep thru the night!!

It must be a fluke...

So you know how puppies will wake you up every hour or two to pee at night.  Well, I let my girl sleep last night.  I must have been really tired because the girl put me in my crate at 10pm and I did not get up until 6:45 am.  I know I should torment her some more, because you know, I AM still a puppy. But I kind of liked getting sleep at night....

The Day has arrived

On Friday Feb 4, 2011, with much excitement, we traveled to the city of White Water where the Guide Dogs of the Desert is located to pick up our puppy. All we knew was that his name was Jake and he was a male Chocolate Lab.  Our training appointment was scheduled for 2pm.  We arrived early of course because my mom hates being late.  We walked into a room and WOW, there were 6 Chocolate Labs and a 1 German Shepherd split into 2 pens. I wonder which one is mine.  We were told which one was Jake and it was LOVE at first lick.

Jake's first night at home was exhausting. I forgot how many times a night a puppy needs to get up and go pee.
